The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed with regard to the significant number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to click here reach-out to a significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The service level established for intervention encounters a high inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it challenging to the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more methods to allow the servicing of all buyers and improve use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
